Help Boston become the first Green City in the World. As residents of Boston we have a responsibility to set the tone for the rest of the Country, and the rest of the World. Did you see An Inconvenient Truth? Well using sustainable energy practices is one of the necessary steps to curb Global Warming.
This site is dedicated to encouraging residents, businesses, and our local Government to call their energy provider and ask them to have a portion of their energy be purchased using renewable resources. This task is monumentally easy as the energy companies already have relationships with other companies that sell them renewable energy (tutorial on how to call your energy company). The energy your house, apartment, or building will recieve will not necessarily be green energy but the money you are spending enables your energy company to purchase green energy and it is fed into their power grids. Someone uses this green energy at some point. The main goal of this effort is to have a significant amount of people switch to green energy and show energy companies that there is a huge demand for renewable energy. This will lead to further investments in green energy and eventually the hope would be that all of our energy for Boston is acquired by green sustainable efforts.
